_coastal_echoes
This photographic series ventures along the coast of Matosinhos, capturing spaces designed by the renowned Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza. Designed with precision and purpose, these structures have witnessed significant changes over time, now serving alternative uses beyond their original intent. Once social projects accessible to the broader community, many of these spaces now require high entry fees, diverging from their initial purpose. Against a cold, rainy backdrop, Siza's architecture is seen in a different light, highlighting the impact of time and weather on these coastal structures. The series offers a glimpse into the evolving character of these spaces, now often standing unfrequented and transformed from their original state.
